Action Photography Words
Shutter Speed - It is controlling the lighting and quality of a photograph. For freezing action you will need a shutter speed 200 or higher however it wouldn't have much depth, a slower shutter speed gives you more depth.
Panning - Using the camera and following a object trying to cature a photo, creating a blury background and a focused shot on the object.
Waiting For The Pause - Waiting for a change in action. Ex. A change in route of a football player

I like 11 because i thought the quality in the shot was very detailed and the lighting was right for the angle it was taken. The building in the background and in the foreground plays a huge part because it limits harsh light and creates great shadow :]

Watch the winning portfolio critique (Dustin Snipes), and post the following:
What did the judges note as strengths as they were critiquing it? His photography is not only on one subject, but also on different sports, also his creativity. Different types of sport and angles that fitted the and also had a story to it.
What do you see as strengths? Do you see any weaknesses? I see creativity as a strength if you use it well, and i saw as a weakness was not wrong use of lighting.
Individual Images1. Describe one photo that you agree with the judges on. Explain why you and the judges do or do not like it
The one with the two guys wrestling, because it would have been much better if the picture wasn't so tight and if the other wrestler was showing in the picture more, however the judges like it because of the face expression, but i think it takes much more for a good photo.
2. Describe one photo that you do NOT agree with the judges on. Explain why you think the judges are wrong.
I like the one with the ski-mobile because it was very creative and shot a a amazing way even though the judges didn't favor it much, the judges didn't like it because it was not showing muhc of a story.
